As part of charitable efforts, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, in conjunction with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Naples, Florida, donated a 2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre for live-auction bidding at the Naples Winter Wine Festival (NWWF) to benefit the Naples Children & Education Foundation (NCEF).
The theme for this year’s NWWF was “Generosity in Full Bloom,” as festival attendees came together on the grounds of The Ritz-Carlton Tiburón to bid on 50 unique, one-of-a-kind wine, travel, automotive and culinary live auction lots. Through the NCEF, auction proceeds will support close to 90 of the most effective nonprofit organizations in the community that have provided more than 300,000 local children with the services and resources they need to excel.
Auction lot 38 was the reason Pursuitist was present at the festival as guests of Rolls-Royce, as we witnessed the vaunted and highly-sought-after 2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre garner the top bid of the auction. Revealed just one year ago in Goodwood England, home of Rolls-Royce, first deliveries of Spectre began in December, 2023, and current orders extend through 2025.
It’s fitting that the air enveloping the auction when Spectre came to bid was “electric,” as bidding for the full-electric 2024 Spectre rapidly accelerated to $750,000 and then appeared to stall. Alas, the rambunctious auctioneer would have none of that, as the energy he exuded recharged the audience like a Level 3 Fast Charger for electric vehicles. After about 10 minutes, the battle was whittled down to two bidders, with a long-time Naples resident coming out on top.
The generous winner, who bid $1.4 million, said: “Spectre is an incredible machine, it’s an honor to be able to be able to call one my own, but the real honor is that we work together to help the kids.” The avid car collector and racing enthusiast who raised his paddle for the winning bid asked to remain anonymous.
Jason Reidel, General Manager and Partner of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Naples was thrilled with the winning bid saying, “It’s an honor to share the day with so many of our clients and neighbors to support the kids. We are proud that Rolls-Royce has been a long-term supporter of the community here in South-West Florida.” Spectre joins a historic list of one-of-a-kind commissions from Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Naples that have been auctioned off to benefit the Naples Children & Education Foundation.
Spectre marks the fifth Rolls-Royce to pass under the charity gavel in the past 20 years, raising $5.68 million in bids. The Naples Winter Wine Festival auction raised more than $33 million for children’s charities of Collier County on a sunny southwest Florida afternoon.
Rolls-Royce has been a reliable supporter of the event raising $5.68 million in donation bids for the kids of Collier County:
- In 2007, the first Phantom Drophead Coupe for the U.S. saw a winning bid of $2 million
- A Rolls-Royce Wraith garnered $750 thousand in 2014
- In 2015 the first Rolls-Royce Dawn for North America brought a bid of $750 thousand
- The very first Phantom VII commission in 2018 received a winning bid of $780 thousand
